DOB: 9/1/22 Taco is an absolute sweetheart and gentle soul who is need of a benevolent parent to not just take care of him, but to really understand him and make him feel safe. He has heartbreakingly good looks being undersized for his age but with adorable big ears and slight pudginess. He’s loving and affectionate, always purring loudly during extended petting sessions and often sleeping in the laps of his trusted humans. He’s also playful, but not in a rowdy or destructive way. Rather, he’s achingly cute with how he lightly bops at toys with his mittens or looks up at you with his bright eyes glistening in curiosity. He also gets along and plays tremendously well with other cats. Yes, Taco is quite nearly a perfect cat; however, he has one personality quirk that causes many to unfairly overlook him: Taco suffers from anxiety that makes him shy, cautious, and fearful of new things and needs extra time to adjust. He prefers the comfort of things he knows and trusts, whether it’s people, other cats, or his environment. But he definitely can adapt and learn and once he does come out of his shell, he’s every bit the amazing cat described above, it just takes him a bit more time for him to get there, as well as a patient and understanding guardian angel who will play with him and bribe him with many delicious treats. Taco is closely bonded with his brother Binky and sister Boba, and his anxiety is significantly lessened when they are together. While it is recommended he be adopted with one or both siblings, Taco has shown the ability to warm to other playful and non-aggressive cats very easily, so an environment with at least one other cat who’s willing to be his friend might also suit him well.
