Contrary to popular belief I am NOT part of the Meowfia. Yeah there may have been that illegal cat wrestling ring and that catnip ponzi scheme. But I am no way no hows associated with the Meowfia. Im just a tough guy. I dont warm up to just anybody. Im very particulars in my interactions. None of this cuddle stuff. I like to be petted on my cheeks and under my chin and thats about it. Bribes? Of course I take bribes! Who doesnt? A few treats will go a long ways with Joey here. You need a lookout or guard? Im your guy. I like to watch everything and Im not afraid to swing a paw! I wont rat you out eithers. Got kids? Then forgetta bout it! I dont got time for no kids.You got a situation you need takin care let me know. Joey here is your guy!Statement from Joeys Foster Mom:I am not completely in Joeys trust circle so I cannot confirm or deny he is part of the Meowfia. He did try to recruit my cats for his illegal cat wrestling ring. Hes very fond of wrestling. He also asked me to invest in his catnip business but it didnt quite seem on the up and up.Joey likes to put on a tough guy act. He is still learning to trust humans. He will hiss and swat if he is scared or uncomfortable but that is becoming less and less as he stays at my house. He can be opinionated and stubborn. He very much likes attention on his own terms. He doesnt like to be picked up or held. He prefers to be petted on his head or under the chin. If you get the right spot he will purr like crazy. He will enjoy the attention and be affectionate until he remembers he is a tough guy. There is a sweet kitten under that tough exterior but it will require patience to see it. Joey is very food motivated. He will sit on my lap if he is bribed with treats.Joey needs a cat savvy home that will work on his trust for humans and give him time to adjust to his new surroundings. He would not do well in a home with children. He does do ok with other cats and dogs with proper introduction; especially if they like to wrestle.Joey is currently in foster and not at the shelter.
