"All we are saying is give peace a chance." - John Lennon. Now that you have Lennon's song stuck in your head, picture me, Salem. I'm a lovely little black kitty girl, whose name means, "peace". Will you give me a chance? I came to the shelter from an old barn that was going to be torn down. And guess what? I'm not the only one. There were 11 other kittens. AND our four mother cats! No one really knows which kittens go with which mother, but someone gave us all names that start with S. So come in and meet us all. None of the twelve of us kittens had been around people much at all, so we started out pretty nervous. We did let people handle us, and we liked petting. We really, really like to play! There's nothing peaceful about that, but it sure is fun! You could say it's a riot! We zip around, we scuffle, we wallop toys, and then...then we cuddle up in a gray and black furry, purry pile for a well-earned nap. I'd love to have one of these boys or girls for my life-long companion, if you could swing it. That would help me settle in when I get to my new home. Will you give me a chance? Choose peace.
