Buccaneer was named as such because when he was only 8 weeks old, he came to us with a damaged eye: it was opaque and had a large ulcer on the cornea. We were sure it would have to be removed, (therefore leaving him with only one eye like a pirate). Well, after lots of medications, his eye has healed! It is a different color, but he seems to be completely healthy. Buc is now about 16 weeks old (as of Oct. 20th), is friendly and sweet, playful but gentle. He has a unique wild looking pattern in his tabby fur - very beautiful! Anyone would enjoy this curious kitten who is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, tested, and on preventions. Please note: 100% of all the adoption fees collected are used to care for the animals, and pay our ever increasing vet bill. We appreciate your interest in adopting from a rescue organization. cWe understand the desire to meet our "cuties" as soon as possible, but because we operate entirely out of foster homes, we need to limit visitation to approved applicants only. Breed Selection is 'Best Efforts' by shelter staff, veterinarians and rescue volunteers. No guarantees are implied. Cats are NOT to be de-clawed, and must remain indoor pets only. Remember adoption is a commitment for the lifetime of your companion; cats could live 20 years or more!!
