This handsome house panther had a rough start to life, and is understandably very nervous after his people simply put him outside to fend for himself. He has been working on rebuilding his trust, and thanks to his dedicated foster mom has been really excited about scheduled meals and all these new toys to investigate! He purred his first purr just recently, and it was more than enough to melt our hearts!We know that Wayne has lived with other cats before, a dog, and even a teenager. He is making tremendous progress, and is ready for his true forever person to take over and bring him to his ultimate cat self He loves to show off the bum elevator once he gets comfy, and knows there is someone out there that will love him for him! About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.Adoption processAll potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.Shelter locationAll Ten Lives cats are located in foster homes throughout Rhode Island and available for meet and greets after an approved adoption application. You can also find some of our adoptable cats at the PetSmart in Warwick, RI.
