His Swiftie Song: “Hey Stephen (Taylor’s Version)” Stephen is the largest kitten of the litter and is easily the best and most enthusiastic eater in the group. He loves “rock climbing” to the top of the large kitten kennel enclosure and then he will purr loudly at us when he wants us to take him back down to the ground. He enjoys sitting on our shoulders and playing with his siblings. Stephen gets along well with our adult cats and older kids/teens. He’s adventurous and shows little fear when trying new things. Stephen would be good in a home with older kids who will play with him. Stephen has tested negtive for FIV and Feline Leukemia. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story. 2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home. 3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet. 4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions. 5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received. 6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement. 7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care. 8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets. 9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion.
