I'm Roux! A sweet dilute calico girl, I'm pretty and gentle and can be a tad shy at first. But I love pets and play and hanging out with my sister, Gumbo. We were named after mixtures because of our saucy colors and thick love, but don't expect us to help with the cooking. We prefer to chill on the cat tree, cat beds, and sofa. and play in tubes and with dangling toys. Come meet me or both of us and take us home! We are both adorable and guests often argue who is cuter. Call ASAP or visit Petco cattery (appt first) or see us at PetSmart 2902 S Shepherd Dr, Sat and Sun 12-4pm.Adoption processAll of our pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and given a flea preventative before they are available for adoption. Cats and kittens are also tested for feline leukemia (FELV) and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and must be negative to enter the adoption program. Our adoption fee of $125 for adult cats and kittens covers only a small fraction of the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and housing these homeless animals. Donations help us to provide veterinary care, medicine, vaccinations, food, kitty litter, and other supplies, so that the only limit on our foster caregivers is the size of their homes – not the size of their pocketbooks.Shelter locationWe have adoption centers in Houston and Central Texas: Houston:Petco - 5450 Weslayan Street, Houston, Texas, 77005; 713-665-XXXX PetSmart #1107 - 2902 S Shepherd Dr, Houston, Texas 77098; 713-520-XXXX Killeen:PetSmart #628 – 2500 East Central Texas Highway, Killeen, Texas, 76543 (off W.S. Young); 254-634-XXXX Temple:PetSmart #1596 – 3550 South General Bruce Drive, Temple, Texas, 76504 (in the same shopping center as Best Buy, Home Depot, and Target); 254-742-XXXX Cats are available for adoption 7 days a week, any time the store is open at the Temple & Killeen locations. Adoptions at the Houston S. Shepard PetSmart only take place between 11.30am-4.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. The Petco location in Houston is a cattery where the cats can be viewed any time the store is open. *Please note that all of the animals listed on Adopt a Pet for Pet Connect Rescue are based in Houston. The Petsmart adoption location listed for the animals is where they are at the weekends. At all other times the animals are at their foster parents house.
