Rosetta is a beautiful female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on August 4, 2024 along with her mother (Periwinkle) and his three siblings (Bobble, Silvermist, and Vidia). Her mother Periwinkle had been raising her babies in the vicinity of an apartment complex in the Marietta/Reno Ohio area, so we were relieved this little family was safely indoors. Rosetta and her brother/sisters were tiny 8-week old kittens at that time. This little sweetheart has a dark gray-and-white short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with dark golden eyes, a white muzzle, a pink/black nose, and long white whiskers. Rosetta was given vaccinations on August 17, 2024. She received booster vaccines on August 30th, October 16th and October 31, 2024. These photos of Rosetta were taken on October 14, 2024 when HSOV Volunteer Emma Dahlgren carried Rosetta and her siblings into our 'studio' for updated pictures. Rosetta quickly discovered a soft blanket-lined wicker basket, so that is where she chose to pose for most of her 'big girl' pictures. Rosetta was spayed on October 22, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 3.16 lbs that day. Rosetta is currently sharing a tower with her two sisters (Silvermist and Vidia), and they have become quite the playgirls. We'd love to see them adopted as a trio (hint, hint). Their mother (Periwinkle) is also still in our shelter and looking for a special someone to give her a loving home. We can usually help with transportation.Adoption processOur adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for other species varies.Shelter locationWe are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Sunday from Noon to 3:00pm. . Closed on Monday..
