Hiya, I’m Queso! I’m a smart, playful, loving girl looking for my forever home. I used to be a stray, living outside and fending for myself. The kind people who fed me contacted Magicats and I went through their TNR Program. However, I failed the “Return” step by deciding that Iwanted to be an indoor pet kitty instead!Those same people tried to introduce me into their home, but alas… They already had a cat, and I do not like other cats! I prefer to be an only kitty, thank you very much! I’m also terrified of dogs due to mytime on the streets, and I don’t think I’d like young children either. Older teenage children who can respect my boundaries might be okay though. Sometimes I forget my house manners when I’m over-stimulated or over-excited, so my ideal human is someone cat-savy, kind and patient, who will continue to work with me on that.I have sooo much love to give, it doesn’t take much to get my purr motor running. Once I get to know you, I love to be held and petted. I’m a big sweetie! I’m also a very smart girl; I know my name and come when called. I absolutely LOVE chasing skitter mice and laser toys, scratching on my cardboard scratcher, and enjoying the fresh air from the safety of a window hammock or catio.If I sound like the perfect girl for you, please apply for me! I can’t wait to meet you!!Adoption processOur current fee for a cat or kitten is $80.00We require a signed application that is reviewed by our volunteers.Adopter must agree that the pet will be Inside Only and must have permission from their landlord if they are renting.Before adoption all of our pets are thoroughly examined by one of our vets. They have received a rabies shot, series of vaccinations, tested negative for FIV/FELV and are always spayed or neutered.Shelter locationWe currently have kennels available to us at the Twin Falls and Meridian PetSmart Adoption Centers. We have scheduled kitten socials, where you can arrange to meet some of our cats. Our pets are also available for viewing on our website and on petfinder.com. We are happy to arrange a private meeting and adoption for any of our cats after we have approved the adoption application.
