Polynesian Sauce is an adorable female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on July 31, 2024 along with her sister (Chick-fil-A Sauce) by a Good Samaritan who found the girls on Knox Street in Marietta Ohio. Polynesian and Chick-fil-A were tiny 2-month babies at that time. This little sweetheart has a light brown tabby short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a cute kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers. Polynesian Sauce was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on July 31, 2024. She weighed 3.5 lbs that day. Polynesian was given booster vaccines on August 14, 2024. Polynesian and Chick-fil-A have affectionate, fun-loving personalities. These photos of Polynesian were taken on October 13, 2024 when HSOV Volunteers Emma Dahlgren and Carolyn Blanchard spent time with her in our 'studio' as she strolled through the fake pumpkin patch and took matters in her own paws (smile). We loved watching her playful kitten antics. Polynesian Sauce and Chick-fil-A Sauce have not been separated since arriving in our shelter. They are currently sharing a large cat tower in the hallway of our shelter where they are royally entertaining visitors, volunteers, and shelter staff. These girls will be spayed (hopefully in mid-December 2024) and will soon be ready to find a home of their very own. Naturally we'd love to see them find a home together either through adoption or rescue. Rescue groups may contact our HSOV Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (XXXX@suddenlink.net). We can usually help with transportation.Adoption processOur adoption process includes an adoption application which must be completed and approved by our shelter management. We verify veterinarian references and also approval from landlords if the pet will be housed in rental property. Home visits may also be required prior to adoption. All dogs/cats must be spayed/neutered before being adopted. Adoption fee for dogs is $150.00 which includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, dog tag, microchip, and spay/neuter. Adoption fee for cats is $40 and includes vaccinations, wormer, flea treatment, and spay/neuter. Most adult cats (and kittens over 3-months of age) have already been spayed/neutered. Adoption fees for other species varies.Shelter locationWe are located at 90 Mt. Tom Rd. in Marietta ,Ohio 45750. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 5:00pm; Sunday from Noon to 3:00pm. . Closed on Monday..
