Special needs ( 3 legged)Pita is a 5 year old Domestic Short Hair. She would prefer a quiet home where she can relax and nap in the sun. She is 3 legged, but thar does not stop her. If you would like to make Pita a part of your family, fill out am application Www.barktownrescue.org PITA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $75The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess. Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Portions of your adoption fee also help care for the sick and injured animals that we take in. Thank you for supporting us and considering a rescue dog! Once this is approved, we can set the applicant up with the foster to meet the dog. If the person decides to adopt at that point, we do have a contract that needs to be signed. ** Please note, it may take 2-3 business days for your application to be processed.
