Murray & Noah, American Shorthair For Adoption In Potomac, Maryland

Price:
$150
Location:
Potomac, MD
Description:

Hello! Our names are Noah (9 month old orange tabby) and Murray (7 month old buff and white medium hair) and we are brothers from different mothers that found one another in foster care and would like to live our lives out together in our forever home. When Noah arrived in foster care he was completely petrified. He was shut down, afraid of playing, afraid of eating, and afraid of people. We thought that finding him a social friend might help, and in came Murray. The plan worked! Murray is helping to teach Noah about the good life. he shows Noah how to play, explore, and interact with people. Because Noah is still pretty shy, this dynamic duo would do best with an owner who has previous cat experience. They would likely do fine in a home with other cats and the same goes for respectful dogs and older children who will be patient in letting Noah settle into the home. Both boys are neutered and up to date on their vaccinations. They are FIV/FeLV negative and litter box trained. The adoption fee for a cat is $150 each ($300 for a pair), which helps with the costs of routine medical care. ***Please note that the first step in the process is to complete our nonbinding application (it does not commit you in any way, but allows us to help you to find a great match). Our application review process also includes a veterinary reference check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives (if applicable) and examined annually by your vet.*** Cats adopted through PetConnect Rescue must be indoor only, and may not be declawed (unless already declawed at the time of rescue). **If you're viewing this on Petfinder, please visit www.petconnectrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**Adoption processStep I) If you would like to learn more about one of our rescues, please fill out our short online application. Just click on the forms link to access the application. Filling out the online application is the first step and will put you into our system but does not commit you to anything. Step 2) An adoption coordinator will contact you, or you may call or email the coordinator listed for more information. Please understand that we are a volunteer organization--we will try to get back to you as soon as possible, usually within 24 hours.Step 3) Once you have spoken to an adoption coordinator about the pet you are interested in, and if you would like to continue with the adoption process, arrangements will be made for you to meet the pet at his or her foster home.Step 4) After you have met the dog or cat of your choice, your home visit will be scheduled. The purpose of the home visit is to ensure that the rescue animal will be living in a safe environment, as well as to support the adoption process.PetConnect reviews applications in order in which they are received. We do, however, focus on matching the right animal to the right family to ensure successful adoptions. These animals have had enough hardship in their lives--our goal is to place these wonderful pets into homes where they will be safe and loved forever.PetConnect requires an adoption fee for all rescues. This fee helps cover the medical, spay/neuter, transport and foster expenses incurred in rescuing each animal (our expenses for these rescues almost always exceed our adoption fees). All PetConnect Rescue animals must be spayed or neutered to help stem the vast problem of overpopulation.Dogs: $350Puppies: $375Senior Dogs $250Cats: $150 **Puppies/kittens: Additional $100 deposit (see below)PetConnect requires an adoption fee for all rescues.
