Hello folks we are the crunch & munch cats. I'm Munch and my buddy is Cunch. I'm tuxedo colored and weigh 8.80 pounds. I'm 6 years old but still have a whole bunch of life in me. I can't wait to meet you and you can take me to my forever home. I'm a kind, lovable, playful and just down right beautiful cat. I will make a very good companion for you and will entertain, make you laugh and love you forever. I love to adventure and play, eat and of course sleep, we older dudes need our beauty sleep. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas at least monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee (CO) $50.00 fee (St. Louis) to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick/heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped.##2182889##Adoption processWe use an online adoption application.Shelter locationOur Shelter is open every day from 10am-4pm, except Sundays. On Sundays, we are open from noon-4pm. We are open for walk-ins, but we recommend appointments because some of our pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment with another potential adopter. We just don't want you to come to our location and be disappointed if you can't meet a pet you are interested in.
