This little black kitty is a beauty. She is a nice combination between laid back and calm but also playful and curious. She is reserved at times but she is definitely curious about the humans in her world and is very food motivated. As she grows we can see her forming strong bonds with her family. Moonlight loves her siblings, especially her brother Bayou, and they spend their days playing silly games and snuggling together. She does great with her foster feline brothers and with her 6 yo human foster brother as well. She will be happiest having a kitten to grow up with. If you don't have a kitten at home to be her friend, take Bayou too! Their unique personalities will certainly bring much joy to your life. Moonlight has tested negtive for FIV and Feline Leukemia. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story. 2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home. 3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet. 4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions. 5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received. 6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement. 7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care. 8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets. 9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion.
