Lucy is very snuggly and lovable, sure to check in with you every few hours in case you forgot she was there! Her hobbies include napping in cozy beds, observing her winged friends from the window, and of course snuggling with her person. Lucy found her way to her second chance after being rescued from a hoarding situation. While she adores her humans, she is understandably selective about other kitties she comes into contact with. She is a happy girl simply ready to live out the finer things in life, and can't wait to settle in with you soon! She has a special diet to keep her skin healthy, she hopes you don't mind her favorite "duck and pea" cat food!Lucy can't wait to read all of her adoption applications, and hopes her forever person is reading this right now! About Ten Lives:Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat. Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience! All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.Adoption processAll potential adopters must fill out the Ten Lives adoption application, show proof of either home ownership or landlords approval, and current veterinary records for any resident animals. All approved adopters will be required to sign the Ten Lives adoption agreement.Shelter locationAll Ten Lives cats are located in foster homes throughout Rhode Island and available for meet and greets after an approved adoption application. You can also find some of our adoptable cats at the PetSmart in Warwick, RI.
