Lenny, Domestic Longhair For Adoption In Eau Claire, Wisconsin
Eau Claire, WI
Lenny here is a shy 1 year old boy who came into the shelter as a stray and is looking for a quiet and welcoming new furrever home! Since we don't know Lenny's background, he will need to be tested with other animals before we can be sure that he would get along well with another one in the home. He is neutered so his adoption fee is $60 plus tax and licensing if you live in the City of Eau Claire. Lenny is a beautiful silver and grey long haired cat, You don't want to let a gorgeous coat get matted, so he'd fit best in a home that will be willing to brush him and keep his beautiful coat in good condition. If you are interested in Lenny, please apply today!Lenny has been in a wonderful foster home getting some socialization. It has taken him about a month to somewhat come out of his shell, but he is more and more everyday. Here is an update from his foster family: He is doing a lot better. He is spending a little more time with us every day - playing and being petted. He still likes to hide away for some long cat naps, and occasionally will nip or hiss if he feels like we are invading his space or he feels startled. But overall, he really is doing much better. I think he could be a pet for someone that doesn't have young kids or a lot of commotion in their house - someone with a quieter place. He loves to look out the windows too. Here is another update: Lenny will be a great pet for a quieter house or one with older children. After being a very nervous cat initially in foster care, he now enjoys being petted - especially around his face and chin. He loves to greet us in the morning with lots of leg rubs while we get breakfast ready. He is playful in the evening and likes to chase and hide his little mice toys. His favorite spots in the house are by any large windows where he can keep an eye on the birds and squirrels outside.Adoption processhttp://www.eccha.org/adoption_policy.aspxhttp://www.eccha.org/adoption_fee.aspxShelter locationWe are open by appointment only.
