COURTESY POST...FOR ADOPTION! These cats and kittens belong to a woman whose health has taken a turn and she needs to rehome them. None are fixed or vetted so another litter of three kittens was born 8/9/24. The two lighter-colored adults are MAMAS (3 y.o.) and SMOKEY (2 y.o.); both have conjunctivitis. Smokey will fight other male cats and does not like dogs. The grey tabby cats are brothers BOOTS and TIGER. Both are one-year-old, are lovable, but Boots is afraid of other animals because he's been chased and picked on. Their owner would like to see these two adopted together, if possible. Adoption fees for pets with Stanly County Humane Society are to cover the following: *Spay/Neuter *Heartworm/Feline Testing *All standard vaccinations *Rabies Vaccination *Microchip October 30, 2024, 7:27 pmAdoption processAn adoption donation is usually between $75 and $200 for our little lovelies. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.Shelter locationWe recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.
