Hy is an approximately year old spayed female tortoiseshell kitty - her half orange half black face is very fancy Hy spent at least year as a stray kitty living under and around a beach-front hotel in Ketchikan. A kindly worker at the hotel gave her food and staff and guests interacted with her frequently but it wasn t until she was injured (possibly in a cat fight or possibly from an otter or mink attack) that she got the help that she most needed. A cat-loving family brought Hy into their home and offered to foster her until a forever family can be found and SOFA got her medical attion for her wounds. Hy is now healed up and ready to find a home and family to call her own. Hy was clearly a loved family pet at time and enjoys the attion of the humans in her foster family - at first she can be shy and hides from strangers but it does not take long for her to come out to snuggle. She even tolerates dogs well. She is terrified of other cats however so she would rule her ideal adoptive home as an cat. Hy has impeccable litter box manners and is an all-around fantastic housemate.Adult cats of take the longest time to get adopted. Hy s foster family knows this and have committed to give her a stable and loving home for as long as needed but since they have several beloved family cats Hy restricts herself to safe room in the house.
