Gretchen is a beautiful female Tortoiseshell kitten who was brought to the HSOV on June 28, 2019 along with her mother (Ingrid) and four siblings after they were found in the Marietta Ohio area. Gretchen and her brothers/sisters were tiny one-week old babies that day and weighed just 0.4 lbs. Sadly, two of her sisters did not survive. Gretchen and her two brothers (Gatsby and Gunther) survived and are happy, socialized kittens thanks to their wonderful mother Ingrid.Gretchen has a dark brown/orange/beige short smooth coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with bronze-colored eyes, a black velvet nose, and a patch of beige on the right side of her muzzle. This little sweetheart is both affectionate and playful. Gretchen was intrigued with the tiny bale of straw which she discovered in our 'studio' and made a game of 'grasping at straws' :)These photos of Gretchen were taken on October 26, 2019.Gretchen, Gatsby, and Gunther were separated from their mother (Ingrid) in early October since they were fully weaned. Momma Ingrid was spayed on October 7, 2019 and is now ready to find a home of her very own.Gretchen will be available for adoption after she is spayed. She is tentatively scheduled for that procedure on November 4, 2019. Gretchen is also available for rescue.Rescue groups may contact our Feline Rescue Coordinator via email (XXXX@suddenlink.net).
