Evie, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Springfield, Oregon
EVIE is a petite, short-haired, black and white tuxedo female kitten with a soft pink nose, almost 5 months old. Evie came to our cat rescue group as part of a litter of 7 kittens rescued with their mother. Although the full story is unknown, her mother and some siblings had some signs of trauma and have since healed. Evie is somewhat shy around new people. She likes to stare down her visitors from afar, but quickly warms up if there is a string toy or a rattle mouse offered to chase. If so, her normally cautious personality disappears and she becomes quite fearless. Her small stature makes her quick to the toys, and she will gladly use her siblings as a springboard to get there first! As an active, sociable kitten, it is critical that Evie is adopted into a home with another kitten (such as her brother ALBERT) or playful young cat for companionship. She enjoys being petted when the mood strikes her and is willing to sit on your lap, but likes to keep her options open for a broad shoulder to perch on too. She isn’t picky about food and comes quickly when it’s time to eat. Evie has blossomed from a scared kitten into a trusting little love bug. She is a great example that size and circumstances don’t matter, all you need is a little love! Evie has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Evie in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 2-3 days for a possible meet and greet. The $150 ($270/2 kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
