Crybaby Tabby Adult - Adoption, Rescue
Crybaby's name does not fit her, this five year old was in a lot of pain when they found her as her foot was swollen (pillow foot). She is wonderful and gentle and loves to bat around a jingle ball. Prefers to be the only cat or with 1 other. No dogs or kids under ten please, is hoping for a low key forever home. Crybaby has lots of love to give. She has been treated for the "pillow foot" that she had when rescued. Pillow foot (feline Plasma Cell Pododermatis) is an inflammatory disease that affects the foot pads of cats. Foot pads become infiltrated by plasma cells and swell up usually in response to an infection or some kind of inflammatory process. Cats are treated with doxycycline (antibiotic and immunomodulating properties) over a two month period 1x a day with excellent response. The swelling goes down tremendously but sometimes the pad (s) will remain soft and mushy in varying degrees. In some cats, the pad will return to a normal state. Does not hinder walking, play activities or any other activity. Crybaby is spayed, has had all her age appropriate vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and is litter trained.
