DOB 4/27/24 – Apollo24 is pretty shy and doesn’t really like to be held, although he will sit on your lap if he is comfortable. He does enjoy belly rubs! He loves wand toys and he is very easily enticed by play and warms up when you start playing with him. He is food motivated and will purr when you give him a little moist food and pet him while he eats. They seem to be OK around other cats; he hissed at foster’s dogs, but believe he would warm up to a dog given the opportunity. He is bonded with his litter mate – Angela24.Adoption processThe first step in the adoption process is coming into the shelter to meet a cat. Once you have found the perfect match for you, you will fill out a one page adoption application. We will then do any necessary vet checks to make sure that if you have any existing pets that they are up to date on all vaccines and have been seen for regular vet care. Once you have been approved one of our volunteers will contact you to set up the adoption. The last step is one of our volunteers will bring the new member of your family to you and you will sign an adoption contract. We do not spay/neuter or give rabies to kittens under six months of age. If you adopt a kitten under six months you will be required to spay/neuter and give them their rabies at your expense. This will be in the adoption agreement. The adoption fees are $90 for one cat/kitten and $140 for two. All cats have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV, had their distemper booster, rabies if over six months, had fecal testing done and been de-wormed, they have been flea bathed, and have been spayed or neutered if over six months of age.Shelter locationHours of Operation: Thursday 6-9pm, Saturday 10am-3pmhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irs26Q-GY50http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bm53_CiPnpY We will be CLOSED the following dates in observation of the holidays:Thursday November 26th, Thursday December 24th, Saturday December 26th, Thursday December 31st
