ANGEL and Archimedes came to the SCHS as tiny strays within days of each other. They've spent the past several weeks in a foster home where they have thrived. They've become good buddies and love to play together, but they don't have to be adopted together (although that would be nice!). Angel is a busy girl that loves to run and play. More of the independent type, she still likes a good lap nap. She does great with other cats and would make a wonderful pet. The standard adoption fee is $100 cash or $105 debit/credit. This includes feline testing, vaccines, spaying/neutering, micro-chipping and de-worming. This includes all basic vet work such as immunizations, altering, and heartworm and leukemia tests. We reserve the right to be very picky with our pets as some of them are very small and sometimes fragile. We usually do not place small dogs or kittens in a home with children under the age of 5, however, we do take the individual circumstances and the individual pet into consideration. An Adoption Application must be completed and if approved, an Adoption Contract is required for final approval to adopt.Shelter locationWe recently opened an Adoption Center in Albemarle which serves as a location for record keeping and to kennel a limited number of cats. The Adoption Center is located at 650 Hwy 24/27 Bypass East. Pets are brought to this location for viewing on alternate Saturdays for our Adopt-A-Thons. Pets may also be met by appointment with the foster family.
