Adopt Squirt a Brown Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in Gaithersburg
Squirt was born in February 2020, and is the perfect, poised, and super-smart sister. When she 1st came to her foster home, we thought she was going to be quite shy… but that facade quickly wore off! She is brilliant and sprightly, and loves jumping on her brother to play. She adores laying on a soft blanket while snuggling with you, and enjoys tummy scratches *and* getting her arms gently stretched out. She loves to explore, and takes on small, precious maternal roles in caring for her kitten brother. She will gently tap you with her paw to let you know when she’s in need of some petting, (and we are always happy to oblige). Squirt is very bonded with her brother, Munchkin, so the 2 must be adopted together. They love to play together, eat together, groom each other, and most frequently -- snuggle together. They have a blast running through their pop-up tunnel (in hopes of 1 catching the other), and frequently tag team “catching” the pesky little red laser beam that keeps showing up… They are both exceptionally friendly, relatively quiet (they love to purr, but only occasionally do they have a simple, soft “meow”), and are very polite. They have not been around dogs nor have they been around kids while in their foster home -- but because of their easy temperament, they would likely do very well with kids. To adopt you must 1st complete an adoption form and either come to an adoption event or arrange to meet the cat in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
