Description:
Smudge, as absolutely handsome as he is, was abandoned by his owner in a fairly remote area of central Kentucky. He is a bit skittish -- but truly wants to be loved, and likes to be petted. Smudge is very serious about his food and prefers to be fed slightly away from the others cats in his caregiver's home, as she thinks he's been smacked around by more dominant cats. Smudge is also fearful of adult human males and sudden movements. He is cautious about meeting new people, as he learned some tough lessons while having to fend for himself. He isn't fond of being picked up but we think if he felt really safe he would come around to being a lap kitty if given time to learn to trust his new family members. Smudge is litterbox trained, current on preventatives, and neutered. He will be brought up to date on shots and microchipped prior to his adoption being finalized.
