This just in! On 2/25, my foster mom reported that I am now super sweet and seek attention but can still get overstimulated. I am very talkative and will purr nonstop! OMG! My life turned upside down in November '23. I have lived with my parents since they found me as a stray kitten 8 years ago. I thought that life was just fine, but the new baby meant that I was surrendered to HSHC. Now, I'm trying not to hold a grudge. But being in the cattery was bringin' me down! The staff would tell you that I'm a little high-strung and can get "dramatic" at the drop of a hat. So, I moved into a foster home in early December. It's been a learning experience for both my foster mom (FM) and myself. At first, I was a grumpy girl and avoided everyone. It took me three weeks to let my FM see my sweet side. Initially, she thought I might be an aggressive cat due to my growling, swatting, and hissing. But she learned that I don't intend to be mean. This is how a scaredy cat reacts to things she doesn't expect or predict. Being picked up, for example, will raise my anxiety through the roof. Now, FM describes me as a super sweet girl, vocally insistent on receiving attention. I follow her around in a very needy way if she has been gone longer than I approve. I love to lay beside her with my back against her so she can easily pet me. I need an owner who is experienced with fearful cats and understands it will take me a while to settle in and reveal my true colors. So don't be afraid to let them show Your true colors; true colors are beautiful, Like a rainbow. 1-24-24
