Adopt IVA a Gray, Blue or Silver Tabby Domestic Shorthair (short coat) cat in
IVA came to the shelter as a feral mom with a bunch of half-grown kittens. The boys required a lot of convincing (and lots of Fancy Feast) that the indoor lifestyle was just fine, and all have been successfully adopted. For a full-grown momma-cat, the transition to trusting humans takes longer. She is still shy and standoffish, but much calmer now and enjoys some gentle petting and caressing. She is not quite 5yrs old, a pretty gray and white tiger kitty with a sweet white blaze. We think she is ready to have a go at a new home. Iva has come a long way in her socialization, and while she may never be a lap cat, she might be willing to sit next to you on the couch someday. Anything is possible. She seems to be thinking that maybe these humans aren’t so bad after all. She needs a quiet home with patient adults who can give her one-on-one attention.
