Adopt Herbie a White Turkish Van / Domestic Shorthair / Mixed cat in South
South Elgin, IL
Herbie is a stunningly attractive Turkish Van mixture, who is quiet, kind and welcomes head scratches and rubs that make him feel loved! Four-year-old Herbie was returned to Anderson because his owners were elderly and could no longer care for him. His former owner says Herbie enjoys sitting on your lap and being pet, especially since he's gently affectionate and friendly. His other favorite things - being brushed and sleeping on the bed and couch! Herbie is a little sad about starting over again, but he's going to make the best of it and really longs to be your BFF. He purrs and rolls over when you meet him! Upon his return to us, we noticed Herbie had a heart murmur. Echocardiograms are recommended as part of his annual check-ups to monitor this, though he's not on any medication. Our staff can provide more info. Herbie originally came to Anderson about 2 years ago with another cat, both of whom were surrendered to Anderson due to a part of the family who developed allergies that couldn't be relieved with medication. While Herbie didn't have experience with cats in his most recent home, he has been with other felines in the past and got along well with them, with proper introductions. Herbie, who does enjoy playing, has the pinkest nose, whitest coat and a exquisite tabby-like tail with a white tip at the end. Can you be the forever-and-ever home for Herbie?
