BUNNI (A844708) was 2 days old when she was found abandoned in the backyard of a family in Oxnard with her eyes closed and umbilical cord still attached. An injury to her tail left it half gone. She was brought to Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) for help and safety. She was bottle fed and nursed for her injured tail while she grew. BUNNI got her name for her short fluffy tail and her hopping around while she plays. BUNNI is a domestic long-haired gray kitten with while eyeliner markings. Her shelter friends estimate her birthday is March 28, 2024.BUNNI is a confident, loving, and playful kitten. She runs to her foster for a hug when she enters a room and climbs up a leg to be cuddled when she is cold or tired. As she recovered and grew, she loved to play with her older foster brothers. She does not let her small size deter her and will jump on the bigger cats to play. She is a very social kitten who adores attention and exploring. She is lonely when not with the other kittens and cats to play with. When she is tired, she will curl up on her blanket or climb onto a lap for a nap. She will also snuggle under your chin or lay in your arms to watch TV. She is very attentive and wants to know what is going on around her. She gets along with everyone, even the barking dog and the big cats that come by to hiss at her. They don’t faze her – she doesn’t realize that they could really hurt her.BUNNI was raised by his human foster and did not learn about predators or dangers outside the home. With her loving and trusting nature, she is not a candidate to live outside. She does not understand that cars, dogs, coyotes, or owls may do her harm. She looks at the outside world like it’s a TV show. When faced with danger, she will hunker down and doesn’t understand she is supposed to run and hide. BUNNI is happy to live indoors where she rules her domain. She is ready to find her special human, Will it be you?
