Adopt Binx a All Black Domestic Mediumhair (medium coat) cat in Atlanta
Binx is a little sweetheart! This petite, green-eyed lady weighs in at just 6 lbs. and has an adorably stubby little tail. A vet has guessed Binx’s age at about four years. She is sedate and quiet, preferring to spend much of her time curled up in soft places (including your lap!) or watching the world through a window. She is currently in a foster home, where she recovered well from anemia (the result of a heavy parasite load acquired from being an outdoor kitty). During her recovery, she loved to be in her foster mama’s lap. She is still very affectionate, but has become a bit more independent now that she feels strong and well again. Binx will come to you for petting and head scratches, and she loves to be brushed. If you’re sitting on the couch, she’ll jump up to be right next to you. Sometimes she acts a bit aloof, but she’s very treat-motivated, so it’s easy to coax her over for a cuddle. Because she is being fostered in a home with four other adult cats, we know that Binx is very comfortable around other kitties. (She doesn’t want to be chased or bullied, though!) We think it’s very possible that Binx could form a close bond with another young cat. You may notice Binx has a tipped ear. She is not at all feral, but was taking her meals with a feral colony before she was rescued. We think perhaps she was abandoned outdoors when someone moved away. Binx is a calm kitty who likes a calm environment. She can be easily startled by certain loud noises or sudden movements. She’ll then retreat to a safe place and peek out, waiting for reassurance that all is well. Then she’ll stroll back to you for more head scratches. We found she gained confidence very quickly in the new environment of her foster home. Can you give her a safe, loving forever-home? Binx is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-free. She tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Recent bloodwork shows everything within the normal range. Would you like more info? You can schedule a call with Binx’s foster mama. Do you want to meet Binx? We can make that happen!
