Take a chance on Chance – you won’t regret it! Although a bit timid at first, Chance is one of the most affectionate cats and cuddle monsters once he’s comfortable in his environment. He adores being pet and makes it known with his loud purrs and enthusiastic head butts! He’s very loyal and loving, and will trail you around the house like a dog – eager and excited just to be in your vicinity! He’s well on his way to being a lap cat. Chance is a street cat who was found in Brownsville. We don’t know his history in depth, but we can imagine he’s been through a lot. He can be skittish with rapid movements or loud noises, so initially approaching him with calmness and patience is key. If you slowly stick out your hand to his face, he’ll gladly welcome pets. The benefits of receiving his trust pay off tremendously with the incredible love and affection he shows. While he’s estimated to be six years old, he has the energy and vitality of a kitten. Excited, adventurous, curious, cuddly, friendly, engaging, fast, loving, eager! Chance LOVES to eat, scarfing down the food you put in front of him instantly. A great way to win him over is through food and treats! He’s on a strictly wet diet at the moment, so wet food and meat tube treats are great. At first, when he’s in a new environment, he likes to eat in private or in the comfort of a hiding spot, but eventually once his trust his earned, he will eat out in the open. This cat can be adopted as a single cat or with a calm companion. Chance was rescued with dental issues and is in need of surgery. In lieu of an adoption fee, we would be thrilled for a potential adopter to provide a larger adoption donation and/or assistance crowdsourcing funds towards their necessary vet bills if possible.
