Meet Sunshine aka Sunny aka Sunny Girl. This sweet lady is a former Project MEOW rescue who was surrendered back to us once her human passed away. Despite such a heartbreaking loss for her, Sunny thrives and shines beautifully as only she can. While she’s currently a resident office foster cat, she’d love nothing more than to curl up in bed or on the sofa alongside her human and soak up all the love and attention. She’s not shy in the least, which makes for great socialization periods with any of your friends and family. Sunny isn’t the biggest fan of other cats, but she can tolerate them as long as distances and boundaries are mutually respected. Sunny previously gained a substantial amount of weight with her former adopter. Additionally, much to our horror, it was discovered that Sunny was partially declawed which is inhumane at best, but so much worse when it’s done improperly. Due to the declaw, extended periods of movement for Sunny can be a bit painful for her front paws given the additional weight she still carries on her small frame. However, Sunny is working diligently alongside her foster family to get her weight back on track, eating healthy once again, and playing with all of the toys. Sunny is seeking a home where here future family will continue to love and support her current weight loss regimen, which is super-easily maintained with the aid of a slow feeder. Sunny loves to play and her favorite toy is currently an octopus whose tentacles she bats around, which makes the whole concept of daily exercise so very easy for her. Sunshine is around 9 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
