Meet Chicago, a 3 year old Domestic Shorthair. He was brough to the shelter as a stray. He has been shy while at the shelter but loves to purr once he starts getting attention and pets. He appears to use his litterbox well.Come meet Chicago today at the Ellensburg shelter, and will possible be available for adoption on 5/28/24. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday.A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
