Meet Frankie! A sweet and gentle senior boy who was rescued from Chicago Animal Control in November 2021 after his owner abandoned him and left him outside after a life indoors. He was unfortunately emaciated and in need of some serious TLC upon rescue. Thankfully this guy has had quite the glow up during his time in foster care! He is happiest relaxing in a warm sun ray cuddled on a cozy blanket, he loves to get scratches behind the ear, and he is always down to cuddle up next to you on the couch while you hang out! Because of his calm demeanor, he is ready to meet most any new human friend and wants to relax and enjoy his life as a "retired street cat." Frankie is not a big toy player, but he does enjoy "cat TV" (watching the birds fly and other wildlife outside through the window), which can keep him amused for hours.Frankie is a happy and healthy boy thanks to daily medication which he easily scarfs down in a treat. Frankie is happy to be either a solo guy in his forever home, or given appropriate introductions he is open to sharing his space with some kitty pals. This adjustment may take some extra time for him, so please be prepared for a few weeks of introductions if you already have a resident kitty. This precious guy has had such a tough life before coming to us, and through lots of love and care he has finally made it to a place where he is healthy and ready to be adopted.
