Meet Tux, a black male cat with white accents. He is just under 14 years old. Tux and his bonded buddy, Bowtie, were surrendered because their owners felt they were under stress due to long periods of being left alone. Bowtie is an 11 year old male who is black and white. These two are looking for a quiet home to spend their seniors years in. Tux loves squeeze treats and getting attention. Bowtie loves attention too and is the first to get up to say hello when someone comes over to his enclosure. He often steps over Tux in order to get the attention he seeks. We did bloodwork on Tux and it revealed that he has hyperthyroidism and is on medication twice daily (which is very easy to give him). This should help get Tux to gain some much needed added weight. Cats are negative for FelV/FIV, receive age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, are spayed/neutered and are microchipped (free lifetime registration with adoption). All of our pets go home with a "Go Home Goody Bag" that includes a starter supply of food, treats, toys, and a voucher for a free month of pet insurance from Trupanion. Location: Bolton, CTAdoption Fee: $400 for the pair##2017222##Adoption processAdoptions need to complete our adoption application and once received, our Adoption Counselor will call you to discuss your application to get to know you and your family. We will conduct a home visit and call your vet for a reference. Once you application is approved, you are able to meet the animal (s) you are interested in. If it's a match, you will need to sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.Shelter locationWe are a foster-based organization and do not have a brick and mortar building. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a mutually agreeable time for you to meet the animal (s) you are interested in.
