Lionel! (Named after Lionel Messi – soccer player extraordinaire.)This gorgeous long-haired, ginger kitty is very lucky to be starting a new life after being rescued from a hoarding/dumping situation involving 50+ cats. He is very social and absolutely loves to play—especially with bouncy (soccer) balls! Did you know that red/ginger kitties are thought to be the friendliest of all cats and are generally known for their super-chill and loving purr-sonalities? (This could be a myth, but Lionel seems to prove all of this to be true.) When his foster mom comes home, he can't decide if he's happier to have some pets or get some dinner! Whichever it is, he is happy to meow loudly, and foster mom swears it sounds like “GOOOOOOALLL”!Lionel is a great kitty and will probably do well in almost any forever home as long as he is given time to adjust. He is “probably” the father of his bonded foster buddy (daughter?), Messi. The two of them are a perfect pair to be adopted into a home together, as they get along famously. They might be O.K. with a friendly dog or children, but the introductions would need to be gradual and well-thought-out.If you want to score big time, apply to adopt Lionel and Messi today!
