Gracie is a sweet baby that appears to be a Maine Coon mix. Although she is a mix, she displays the many of the characteristics of her MC ancestors. Some include a ruff (fluffy chest scarf), large size for age, large feet for body, toe fluff, and long hair. She loves to play, especially with wand toys. Once she warms up to you, she will snuggle in your lap. First FIV test was positive, so we're hoping the next one will be negative. 1/3 of all FIV positive results are FALSE POSITIVE. Even if she is truly positive, she can live a normal life with other cats as long as they are all FIXED and have no aggression issues. They can even groom each other with zero chance of transmitting the virus. Each cat will come to their new home neutered or spayed, with age-appropriate vaccines, individually tested negative for FeLV, FIV and heartworms, and microchipped. They can travel along I-35 in Texas with rescue partner for a small donation. Transport is available to most southern states, CT, NY, PA, ME, NJ and a few other states for $175. All out of state adoptions/transport MUST have an Interstate Health Certificate by a qualified veterinarian for $85. We do not adopt out to Florida or California as those states have an abundance of Siamese needing placement within their respective states. Three personal references, a veterinary reference, a completed application, an adoption contract, and an adoption donation are required for adoption.
