Penny is very sweet. She is initially shy and slow to trust - but once she knows she is safe with you she will turn on the affection and loves. She is FIV+ and is only available for in home meet and greets/adoption finalization as we do not want the stress of going to an event to tax her. Despite her testing positive she is very healthy otherwise - she is actively - loves her mealtimes and her sun spot naps.FIV is known as 'the fighters disease' and is not very easily transmitted between cats. FIV cats can share food and water dishes, litter boxes and beds with FIV- cats with no risk of cantamination. They can even groom one another risk free! It would take a severe bite to transit the disease - and Penny is a very passive young lady.She would do well as a single cat - but she does seem to get lonely, so unless her humans can be home with her most of the time (retired, work from home) we would recommend she be in a home with a feline companion - or a very easy going dog that respects her space and is also a sweet, shy quiet type.Many of our adoptable kittens and cats will be featured at our various adoption events held every Saturday - you can find that calendar at murphyslawrescue.org or you can email us at XXXX@gmail.com for information.
