My name is Minerva, and I am a short hair orange tabby. I used to be a stray cat wandering about Alabama, but now that I am inside, I enjoy the peace and quiet of Minnesota. I have already been spayed, treated for fleas and worms, and am up to date on my vaccinations. I am very spunky, energetic, affectionate, and curious. My favorite things are chasing ping pong balls, climbing to the highest points in the house, and snuggling with my humans. I can be shy at first, but warm up quickly if given space and my home is quiet. I was wary of my foster parent for two minutes before kindly requesting chin scratches, and now I like to follow my humans around the house and sit with them wherever they are. Sometimes I can be nervous around new people and can get startled. But usually, I love asking for scratches from my humans and curling up on their lap. I am expressive and will meow for attention, and I purr almost constantly. If you pat your lap, I usually come running and hop into it. My ideal home is quiet, free of dogs, and with one other friendly cat to keep me company. I could do well as your only cat, too. I would be overwhelmed by more than 1 other feline friend. Small children and loud noises would be scary for me. I get overwhelmed when there are many people and prefer to focus on my favorite humans. I love to give and receive attention and keep my humans company when they are home. I always use my litter box and have never had any accidents.
