Barn Buddies, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Springfield, Vermont

Price:
$40
Location:
Springfield, VT
Description:

Got mice? You'll be happy to know we have several Rodent Control Technicians looking for work! They will work hard to keep the rodents away and all they will ask for is food, water, and a dry place to sleep! Currently, we have some cats that could qualify as either in-home, shy cats, or barn buddies. All 5 of the black and white guys are from the same home. The home had almost 30 cats!! Big Guy and Little Guy will allow pets sometimes, but we have not been able to touch the other 3. They are all young and between 8 months and 3 years old. Unfortunately, we are having some litter box issues in their room and do not know if it is one or a few of them. They are occupying a whole room right now and we really need that space for other cats so the sooner we can get them into a barn type home the better! These guys need to go in groups of 2, 3 or 5, so they have some companionship and someone to cuddle with in the winter months! Wynn and Reese are 6 months old and have been here since December waiting for warmer weather so they can finally have the freedom a barn type home will offer them. They were very spicy on arrival and have not warmed up to people. They have to go together and could go with a pair of the cats above if you would like more than 2 mousers. With warmer weather right around the corner, they will be able to go to their new barns, garages or whatever safe space you have soon!! To adopt a pair or more, visit our website spfldhumane.org, and fill out a Barn Buddy Application. Adoption Fees: $40 each All the barn buddies have been fixed, UTD on rabies and distemper. They are FIV/FeLV negative.Adoption processWe require a completed adoption application prior to adoption, but you're welcome to come visit our animals any time we're open. Our fees cover all vaccinations, spay/neuter, worming, flea prevention, microchip, collar and ID tag, and are as follows: Cats - $100, Kittens (8weeks to 6 months) are $125 and up. Senior cats (over 7) are $60. Barn buddies (feral or has litterbox issues)-$40. Dogs - $200 and up, Puppies (8 weeks to 6 months) $300 and up. Senior (8 years and up) $100. Rabbit _$50 (are fixed before adoption) All animals besides feral cats are microchipped. Purebred puppies and adults adoption fees are set per dog. We do not require a home visit, however we will ask for landlord permission if you rent. We rely heavily on vet references, but also ask for personal references.Shelter locationOur open hours are Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4:30. We sometimes have pets available for meeting at various fundraisers. Please check our web page or facebook page for information on upcoming events. We are currently open by appointment only with approved applicants. If you would like to see a specific animal or have an approved application on hand please go to our website spfldhumane.org and fill out an application. We keep all approved applications for a year and go though them before we post animals online.
