Adopt Wickett a All Black Domestic Shorthair / Mixed cat in Washington

Location:
Washington, DC
Description:

Female, DSH, approx. 2 years old Attributes: friendly, high energy, snuggly Wickett is a friendly and playful gal who just wants someone to love. Is it you? Wickett is a big fan of chasing and leaping at toys. She's a bit of a clutz though, which is extra cute. She's not exactly a Division I athlete, but no matter how many times she falls on her butt, off the couch, or off the bed, she always jumps right back up. So despite her lack of natural athleticism, she's still a top-round draft pick. Wickett is also shockingly polite for a cat. A simple "please stop" or "no" is enough for her. She truly aims to please! And when you're busy or away from home, Wickett is content to stare out the window for hours and watch the world go by. As if that weren't enough to love about Wickett, she's also quite an affectionate kitty. Sweet Wickett will lie on your lap or chest, politely request some pets and scritches, and give you a little kiss to say thank you. Wickett can't wait to meet you, so please complete an adoption application today! _____________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Apply for a CAT: www.citydogsrescuedc.org/adopt-a-city-kitty.html City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a foster based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Cat specific: Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia vaccines. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
