Merlot came to shelter in mid-February with 6 other cats. He is one of the more timid and reserved of the lot, though he opens up more when he's in their company. When he came in he was attached to the hip of Milo and Monet, his fur-siblings who are also up for adoption. He hasn't been here long so we are still getting to know him. Come down to the shelter to get to know him yourself!Adoption processAdoption Applicants are reviewed, once passed, there is a $85-$95 adoption fee. Once the fee has been collected, the animal is transferred to The Animal Hospital of Cornelius for a final wellness check and spay/neuter if applicable.Shelter locationThe Cornelius Animal Shelter is located 19110 Meridian St, Cornelius, North Carolina. The shelter is open 11am-1pm, then 3pm-5pm during weekdays except Monday. 9am-12pm on Saturday. Appointments are available upon request, seven days a week.
