Hello there! I'm Hopper, a delightful red/orange tabby kitten, and I've got a heartwarming story to share. Rescued from a shelter alongside my brother, Murray, I sport the cutest red/orange birthmark just below my nose. My foster mom affectionately calls me a "purr box" – a simple chat is all it takes to set my purring in motion.You'll often find me perched on the desk, keeping my foster parent company during work. I've taken it upon myself to stand guard at the window, shielding my foster family from the antics of mischievous birds and squirrels. And let's not forget my love for treats – I don't just love them, I demand them, especially come lunchtime. My foster mom has a little routine where I stand on my hind legs and "beg" for treats before indulging in them.Being an energetic fellow, I thoroughly enjoy playtime with toys, my brother Murray, and the other foster kittens. When I'm not in the midst of play or enjoying a meal, you'll find me cozily napping. With my outgoing personality, I quickly warm up to new human friends. While my litter box habits are impeccable, I'm still refining my use of the scratching post.Given my social nature, I'd thrive in a household with another feline companion. For more on adoption policies, please see the How it Works page of our website, www.habitat4paws.org.**Adoption processFEES:Dogs are $200Puppies under 1 year are $250Cats and kittens are $140 All animals have been spayed/neutered, received age appropriate vaccinations, had a heart-worm test, a Feline Leukemia test and a fecal check and are dewormed, microchipped and current on heart-worm and flea preventative medications at the time of adoption. Adopters must be 21 and have a valid Texas driver’s license or a state-issued ID that matches the home address. If new to the area, a utility bill in the name of adopter will suffice. Renters must present proof of pet deposit or landlord approval to have a pet. We require that you visit with a pet and adoption counselor. We prefer that all family members be present when the pet is introduced to its potential new family. Current pets are welcomed and encouraged to be part of the meeting too. If a good match is found, adopters complete an application. Same day adoptions may be done; however, Habitat 4 Paws reserves the right to request a home visit prior to adoption. We do not hold pets nor do we adopt on a first-come/first-serve basis.Shelter locationNearly every weekend our pets that are ready for adoption are featured at locations such as Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus and other locations.
