At a year and a half old, Mia (8/22) is inquisitive, intelligent, and a little shy -- but she’s always ready to join in kitten play. Mia is one of five kittens born in March of 2021 to a calico street kitty who came to camp out on a lady's deck near downtown Monticello. She's a quiet, beautiful little girl who's content to do her own thing most of the time, but when it's time for breakfast she's willing to climb into a chair and politely tell her foster mommy so. She's not much of a cuddle bug, but occasionally lies her foster mom's lap for pets and to thoroughly lick her foster mom's fingers. Mia's rich coat flecked in gold and her "caramel" toes make her a striking cat, and her quiet intelligence makes her a lovely companion. She's lived amicably in a "herd" of several cats in my relatively quiet home in the country, but she might enjoy having a single playmate or even being the only pet in your home. She's not the sort of kitty to wind herself around your feet, so is suitable for folks that might otherwise trip over her.
