Oh do we have a story for you. Treat was found on the side of the road, in a box, in the middle of a rain storm. Not an easy way to start your life. Treat made her way to the shelter, and was in rough shape. She was emaciated and had a severe case of coccidia. Fortunately, Treat pulled through after a few sleepless nights for both her and the staff. Treat is a fighter. She knows there is a world left to explore, and can't wait to get out there. Now, here is the heart break...literally. Treat has a grade 5 heart murmur. We encourage you to look into this more, but here is the gist: Treat's heart is not moving blood quite right. There is a malformation of some kind in the muscle of her heart. Some cats can live a relatively normal life with this condition, and others will just simply not live for as long as a normal cat would.It is hard to say what exactly the future may hold for Treat. It means that someone with a good soul and a strong heart needs to give her the best experiences life has to offer. She loves feline friends, and could really use a buddy (or a few) to spend her time with. It's not an easy road ahead of Treat, nor will it be for the person that takes a chance on her....but she still deserves someone to walk the rocky road with. Someone to show her what love can do for you. We may not be able to heal Treat's broken heart, but we sure can keep it full of love. Treat is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.
