DJ is a sweet, affectionate, curious and smart 4 year-young male cat. This handsome guy likes to follow his Mom around and see what she is up to. If she opens a box, he crawls in. If she opens a cabinet, he likes to look in and inspect. Looking out the window and talking to birds and squirrels is one of his favorite daily activities. He was found as a young adult but has been sharing a home with too many other pets for his liking. Because he is so loving, he would like more of his human’s attention and not have to compete for it. While he may not always come when called, one way he lets Mom know he cares is by his love of chest napping. Preferring to be up and close to her, DJ will curl up on her chest for naptime whenever possible. He may also request head and ear rubs while getting comfortable. He’s a very easy cat when it comes to nail trimming, being put in/riding in a carrier to go to the vet which makes it a breeze for his Mom. He would be thrilled to have an owner or family who is home a lot so he can get the attention he loves. DJ thoroughly enjoys his play time and the more active it is, the better. For this reason, he prefers wand toys over track toys. He likes for his human to be involved in any activity but definitely during play. He is used to living with a smaller dog and does great with him. He’s also been around a large dog and they got along well. DJ has lived with other cats, but can be selective, so he would do best in a home as the only cat. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative and microchipped. His adoption fee is $125. He is being fostered in Colorado Springs.
