Sparrow, a 1 year old black, shorthaired cat has a very sad story. She was 1 of five female kittens born in a cluttered home to people who were high on drugs and paid no attention to the litter.A great woman who rescues cats was called to take the kittens away when they were about ten weeks old. Because no 1 ever held, cuddled or played with them, they were fearful of people. The womanhad to use a Hav-A-Hart trap to get each one. It took 2 mons before she had all five. The 5th one trapped was Sparrow, who was the most traumatized.All 4 of Sparrow's sisters found cute people who accepted them and realized what horrible conditions these kittens had been through. Each knew that their kitten needed lotsof love and time before it trusted them and perhaps would would always be shy with strangers.Now we are seeking a quiet home with a special person who has patience and can understand why Sparrow is afraid. Sparrow in not aggressive, but acts like a semi feral cat although she has never been outdoors.She is currently in a temporary foster home, and we were told that after several weeks she came up to the foster parent to be petted, then ran and hid for awhile. She is okay with other cats, but dogswill probably frighten her.Sparrow may never be the friendly lap cat that most people desire. We are looking for that 1 special person who has a place in their heart to give this little girl a loving, safe environment forever..
